This preparation is produced with high quality organic honey. Together with the wheat distillate, it acts as a preservative and as a vehicle for numerous active principles.

Medicinal uses

Recommendations for use

It is recommended to start with 1 coffee spoon (±2.5g ) 3 times daily, prior to meals, for the first two or three days. After this period, 1 tablespoon (±5g ) per day, preferably half an hour before eating. Intake should continue for about 20 days (it is recommended to finish the box) and, after a 7 day break, may be resumed.

As the product does not contain preservatives, it is best to store it in a dark place, at a temperature between 5 and 10 degrees C°, tightly closed.

Warning

Use of the product is not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding and early childhood.

MAIN ALOE ARBORESCENS CONSTITUENTS

SUGARS
Aloe Arborescens mainly contains monosaccharides and polysaccharides, with a prevalence of Acemannan or Aloe-mannan. This is a mucopolysaccharide molecule constituted by a chain of Mannose and Glucose molecules in which the sequence of Mannose is dominant. The biochemical structure of the Acemannan molecule enables it to be very easily absorbed by the intestinal villi. Here, the lymphonodal stations send the information needed to replicate Lymphocytes T and Gamma-delta cells, with subsequent information passing on to the immune system.
The populations involved are the following:
T-lymphocytes having a direct cytotoxic action
L-killers having an antibody-dependent cell-mediated action
Monocytes and Macrophages having an indirect cytotoxic action.
The presence of Acemannan molecules with a high molecular weight justifies the greater immune stimulating activity of Aloe Arborescens, since the larger molecules are those performing a greater antigenic action, with the consequent activation of the humoral and cell-mediated line. Studies are being carried out in order to disclose the antiviral action of Acemannan. To this end, the substance is being given to patients suffering from HIV who are following an AZT therapy. Such studies lead to define Acemannan within the Merck Index as a non-synthetic immune-modulating substance having an anti-viral action.
A series of studies carried out by the New York laboratories have attested the interesting properties of Acemannan in helping to treat such pathologies as angina, diabetes, high cholesterol, heart diseases and arteriosclerosis.

ANTHRAQUINONES
Aloe arborescens provides 12 anthraquinones. They constitute phenolic compounds having a laxative and anti-microbial action and which enhance the absorption of nutrients within the intestinal tract.

The anti-microbial and anti-viral activities are provided by a glycoproteic compound found under the Aloe’s bark, called A-Alocitin or simply A-Aloin.

The role it plays is fundamental, as it induces in the immune system a high capability of replicating cytotoxic T-lymphocites as well as Natural Killers. In particular, A-Aloin tells the organism to send the neuronal message necessary for the production of certain anti-body populations such as IL-2, IL-3 and IFN-gamma. In the past few years a number of research labs working in the field of natural nutrition, such as New York’s Food and Drug Research (center???), have carried out experiments on mice bearing neoplastic ascites, which were given an intraperitoneal injection of pure A-Aloin which had been extracted from Aloe Arborescens. After six months of observation not only did the high doses of A-Alocitin reveal no sign of toxicity but, on the contrary, they induced a regression of the neoplastic matter, due to the presence of a high number of special antibody corpuscles, such as Natural-Killer cells (studies are still being ascertained). Another beneficial response has been detected on subjects suffering from arthritis. In this case the disease did not disappear but the edema was greatly reduced. The anti-inflammatory action of the A-Aloin portion of the plant thus appears evident.

AMINO ACIDS

Aloe Arborescens contains 20 essential amino acids. Some of these are present in considerably greater quantities than those observed for Aloe Vera (see table) thus providing the reason why Aloe Arborescens performs a greater anti-inflammatory and pain inhibiting action. A research carried out with an AMINOANALYZER on filtered and centrifugated samples of Aloe Arborescens and Aloe Vera revealed the following data:

The recipe
Our gel is prepared using whole Aloe arborescens leaves and Aloe vera gel (derived solely from the internal part of the leaf) to which lemon essential oil and natural jellying agents are added. It is a unique product of its kind as it can be taken internally and applied directly to the skin so that the well-known external healing properties of Aloe may be benefited from also. It is suitable for those who may not consume honey or the distillate which are present in the classical “preparation” and of course for those who, not having a fresh Aloe leaf at their immediate disposal, want to benefit from its healing features at any given moment.

Daily intake
For best results it is recommended to take 3 teaspoons per day before meals, on an empty stomach.

Uses
It has a positive action on the natural defenses of the organism. Thanks to its soothing and reepithelizing action it may be a valid aid in treating the symptoms of gastritis.

Options for Use
Besides being used as a food integrator, the gel may be applied externally as a cataplasm so that its anti-inflammatory action may be benefited from in the treatment of headaches, cervical stiffness, rheumatic pain, etc. Thanks to its soothing and reepithelizing activity it may be applied to the skin in case of Erythema, Eczema, Insect stings, Sunburn, Burns, Psoriasis, open Wounds (not directly on the wound but around it, while its antibacterial, antimycotic and antiviral action is effective in helping to treat herpes simplex and mycosis.
Due to the antioxidant properties of the Aloe plant, which enable it to contrast free radicals and other reactive oxygen species responsible of the aging processes, the Vonderweid gel performs an authentic rejuvenating action on external appearance. In fact, the Aloe plant is able to enhance the production and the development of fibroblasts, derma cells responsible for the production of collagen, a support protein which provides the skin with firmness and elasticity. During the aging process these both the quantity and the quality of the collagen produced by fibroblasts decreases, the skin loses elasticity and wrinkles become more evident.
